Circuits
Unit Overview: For students to gain understanding of circuits and how they work. The students will experiment with electrical circuits in order to discover the difference between series and parallel circuits. The students will use mathematical representations to find out the resistance that is occurring in a circuit.
Personal Achievement: I learned a lot more about electricity and how it flows through wires, I also learned the difference between circuits and how each circuit works.
Enduring Understanding: We learned about parallel and series circuits, we learned how each circuit is used in real life and how they work. We also learned about different types of energies such as watts, voltage and amps.
Reflection on Progress Towards the Standards:
Strength: Uses mathematical representations to communicate resistance in a circuit. I was able to use math to write out my answers when we were working.
Area for Improvement: Plans and conducts scientific investigations. I had difficulty thinking of an experiment I could conduct to find out what we had to know.
Evidence of Work:
We made a very big circuit as a group
